MAD Magazine will going from monthly to quarterly starting with issue #500 in April (link). I don’t read MAD much these days, but before the Internet and cable it was one of the only places a kid could go for off-the-wall satire that dared to use the word schmuck.

Editor John Ficarra noted, “The feedback we’ve gotten from readers is that only every third issue of MAD is funny, so we’ve decided to just publish those.”
