If Pokemon and Slap Bracelets have taught us anything, it’s that a toy can’t be the new thing until someone freaks out that it might be dangerous. Silly Bandz officially had their moment just a few weeks ago ago when Fox News’ Dr. Manny released his findings that his daughter wearing 100 rubber bands on her arm was making him “concerned.” Silly Bandz continue to be banned at schools across the country, officially confirming that the more things change the more they stay the same.

Congratulations to whoever made Silly Bandz, I think you guys have tipped. I don’t know if there’s an award for “Business Man Of The Year,” but whoever convinced everyone to start buying $5 packs of rubber bands should win.
