One of cable news’ more egregious crimes is running unscientific text message polls, then reporting and analyzing the results. It wastes everyone’s time by talking about something they are admitting right up up front is meaningless. I believe this happens year round, but they’ve really turned it up for the election.

Every network is guilty, but Fox News wins for calling their polls “U Vote.” Finally! A way for us - the regular people - to vote and make our voices heard!

(if you weren’t watching, tonight’s “U Vote” poll determined that 86% of people believe McCain won, 12% believe Obama won, and 1% are undecided.)
