In the late 80’s, the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System was so popular that Nintendo ran a hotline for players to call when they were stuck in games. Hundreds of game counselors were trained to answer calls and guide frustrated gamers through whatever level giving them trouble.

This week on The Jeff Rubin The Jeff Rubin Show, my guest is a former game counselor. We discuss how Nintendo trained it’s experts, the protocol for when a caller stumped them, and the official Nintendo stance on Game Genie.

The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show comes out Tuesdays on iTunesYouTube, and

Next week on the show - Moira Quirk, AKA Mo from Nickelodeon’s Guts
