Q: What do Under Siege, Blade Runner, Orson Welles’ BBC production of King Lear, and Evil Dead all have in common?

A: They all feature people getting thumbs in their eyes in scenes we edited together for this week’s Brain Filler.

When plotting Brain Filler, Pat and I agree that the more specific the better, and for this one we were very particular that it had to be thumbs. That’s why we didn’t include movies like Kill Bill and Zombi 2 (skip to 3:45), even though they seem to always come up when you talk about eye gouging as much as we have for the past few weeks.
