Hi Everyone,

I have some good news and some bad news.

The bad news - Bleep Bloop: Zookeeper will be the last episode of Bleep Bloop for a while, possibly ever. I’ve had it in mind as a finale for a long time, and I think it’s an appropriate end to the series.

The good news - out of the ashes of Bleep Bloop rises a new CollegeHumor series we’re calling Nerd Alert.

Let’s talk about the bad news first.

We’ve made nearly 100 episodes of Bleep Bloop in just over two years. Making a show where my friends (and people I want to meet) play whatever videogames I find interesting is at least as much fun as it sounds, and usually more. In many ways it’s retroactively justified a childhood wasted indoors. I have an unending amount of gratitude for Jess, Creighton, and especially Pat for all their hard work and extra hours spent making Bleep Bloop whatever it was. I will also be forever grateful to everyone that ever watched for enabling me to do this ridiculous thing. It’s sad to put Bleep Bloop aside, but it’s bittersweet because I’m so excited about Nerd Alert.

So, what’s Nerd Alert?

If Bleep Bloop was based on sitting around and playing videogames with my friends in college, Nerd Alert is based on the arguments I have with my coworkers at lunch. You can see a very quick glimpse at our incredible new set in the new series preview that’s currently on the front page of CollegeHumor. We were originally calling it Bleep Bloop 2.0, but as our ambition grew we realized this was something new. For instance, instead of just arguing about videogames we’re expanding our focus to include cartoons, toys, gizmos, Batman, and other stuff that used to get you beat up in middle school. We’re also shooting Thursdays and posting Fridays so we can talk about what happened that week. And yes, there will still be lots of Pat (he was unavailable when we shot the Nerd Alert you’re seeing in the preview because, appropriately enough, he went to see the Space Shuttle launch).

Obviously I’m excited and I hope you guys are too. The first episode of Nerd Alert will go up this Friday and I hope to see you all then. In the mean time, enjoy this playlist of my 20 all-time favorite Bleep Bloops.
