Today was the first official run of Scott’s Pizza Tour. A lot of people think I’m the pizza guy. I’m pretty serious about it, but Scott is really operating on another level. I went to the Pizza Convention in Las Vegas last year, but Scott’s the one that knew the editor of the pizza trade magazine and got us in for free. I ate at the pizza blogosphere’s new darling Artichoke almost immediately after it opened, but when I told the people that worked there it was recommended by “my friend Scott with the pizza tour” they started giving me free slices. I like to eat good pizza, but Scott quit his day job and started a pizza tour company. The tour was very smoothly run. Scott has coordinated everything with the pizzarias so that after you arrive somewhere you’re almost immediately eating. There was lots of pizza history on the bus, and Scott had informed answers for everything the Q&A session threw at him. I’m obviously biased, but I can’t reccomend the tour enough. Here’s my pictures from the day on Flickr. You can book tickets for upcoming pizza adventures at ScottsPizzaTours.com.
