I’ve been a daily Splitsider reader since day 1, and am very excited to get The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show involved in this.
New Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Shows come out every Tuesday except the first of the month, but to celebrate the Splitsider Podcast Network I’m making an exception for August. There will be a new episode tomorrow and - bonus - it’s with Paul Scheer.
I’m excited to introduce the brand new Splitsider Podcast Network! Launching with six of the best comedy podcasts currently recording in NYC, with one new one on the way, we’re very proud to be gathering up some of the best audio comedy out there. Without further ado, our lineup:
You Had to Be There
You Had To Be There is co-hosted by comedians Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer. Each week, Nikki and Sara invite one comedian and a small audience of friends to hang out in Sara’s apartment in Brooklyn. The conversation can go anywhere, but it always stays funny. Oh, and sometimes there’s live music. Nikki Glaser has appeared on The Tonight Show, and was a semi-finalist on Last Comic Standing. Sara Schaefer won two Emmys for her work atLate Night with Jimmy Fallon, and was one of Comedy Central’s “Comics To Watch.” The two will be co-hosting their new MTV show, The Nikki and Sara Show, in early 2013.
The Complete Guide to Everything
A weekly podcast that sets out to provide a guide to all possible world knowledge, but usually gets caught up in the minutia of coffee shop etiquette and the hosts’ jealousy of teenagers instead. Every week Tim Daniels and Tom Reynolds tackle a new topic in their humble quest to make the world a more informed place through their own hazy recollections and cursory Wikipedia searches. In addition to their semi-intellectual pursuits, they also regularly solve listeners’ problems and point out the absurdity of the people profiled in the New York Times Style section in recurring segments. While you might not necessarily “learn” anything in the traditional sense, you’ll probably feel a lot better about your own life in the end.
The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show
Jeff Rubin (from CollegeHumor) brings you interviews you didn’t know you needed to hear on The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show. There are interviews with creative people who have turned their obsessions into professions as well as expert analysis on geeky things that probably don’t warrant analyzing. If you were supposed to be embarrassed to talk about it in middle school, it’s on The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show.
Left Handed Radio
Left Handed Radio is a fully-produced sketch comedy show, releasing new shows every month. Each episode is like spinning the dial of your car, home, or combination car/home radio. The show is written and performed by New York-based comedians Adam Bozarth, Dan Chamberlain, Matt Little, and Anna Rubanova with occasional guest writers and performers.
It’s That Episode with Craig Rowin
On It’s That Episode Craig Rowin (UCB Theatre) invites guests over to his apartment to watch any episode of any TV show they want. They discuss the episode and a bunch of other crap. Episodes are released every Monday.
A Funny Thing
True, hilarious stories of pain, terror, joy and people shitting their pants told LIVE at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theaters in New York and Los Angeles. Produced by Taylor Moore.
And coming soon:
Make Yourself Comfy with Abra Tabak
Abra Tabak invites her comedian friends over to create a show filled with improvised characters and premises that could only come to life in a room where everyone is feeling very comfy.

Check them all out and let us know what you think! It’s a pretty diverse lineup, and I think there’s something for everyone in there. Enjoy!
