For my last post, I really wanted to include images of both the new Horton Hears a Who poster and the old book cover. However, I couldn’t really find a way to do it within Tumblr.

It seems the only way to post an image is to do a ‘photo’ post. Is there a way around this? I’m not even sure if this is something Tumblr is interested in improving.

I fear not everyone clicked through to the image of Horton, who really does look like an asshole. If you don’t see him with your own two eyes, then I just sound like an asshole for complaining about a cartoon elephant. I suppose you could argue I sound like an asshole either way.

UPDATE: I know there’s an ‘insert image’ button, but it requires the image already be on the Internet somewhere.

Yes, Photobucket would work. It just seems like Tumblr should have something so I don’t have to go to another website when I want to disect children’s movie posters (link goes to an old post on my old blog).

Nate - I know I could insert the image while leaving it hosted on another webserver, but that’s just bad etiquette. Also I tried it and one of the sites I was stealing of thought ahead and it said ‘image stolen!’ So that’s not a great solution either.

I wrote my last post, took a shower, and when I came back I already had three comments, an email, and a reblog before my hair was dry. That’s why I’m interested in staying with Tumblr despite some shortcomings. Plus, even though you guys aren’t commenting about it, I know you see where I’m coming from on that elephant.
