IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT BLEEP BLOOP

We’ve been doing Bleep Bloop for about a year now (!!!). Rather than continuing to post every episode on JeffRubinJeffRubin, I’m going to give it it’s own blog - BleepBloopBlog.tumblr.com. Since everyone reading it will be interested in all things Bloop, I’ll post some behind-the-scenes info on how each episode came together. When I’m really excited about an episode I’m sure I’ll still post it on JeffRubinJeffRubin, but for now head to BleepBloopBlog.tumblr.com (and spit on bleepbloop.tumblr.com on your way over).

Bleep Bloop - Games Starring Musicains II

Notes:
- This is more or less the 50th episode of Bleep Bloop.
- Way back when we did Games Starring Musicians I we ordered Queen: The Eye, a dystopian PC game that spans 5 CDs and features the music of Queen. I had to import it from the UK so it didn’t get here in time. We’ve had it for a year now and for the life of me I can’t get it running. There’s an issue with Windows XP and the sound drivers that as far as I can tell only me and one guy on the QueenZone.com messageboards are having.
- Also had trouble getting the Motorhead and Frankie Goes to Hollywood games, both of which are for Commodore 64. Perhaps in Games Starring Musicians III.
- It killed me not to include 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand which actually isn’t terrible but has perhaps the craziest premise (50 rampages through Iraq in search of a diamond crusted skull). I skipped it because it was already featured in Bleep Bloop: Virtual Celebrities.
