Examples - a comet sent them all the dinosaurs to another dimension (The Super Mario Brothers Movie), dragons did it (Reign of Fire, whose viewing inspired this list), flying brains killed them (Futurama), and a greedy megacorporation run by a triceratops ruined the environment (the sitcom Dinosaurs).
