“You take a wood coaster and you hang the carriage from the inside of the track - like the Batman ride at Six Flags, with your feet dangling. Not to say you do any loops or corkscrew or anything like that, but I thought that’d be a neat ride. So I got a patent.”
- Jonathan Gordon of Gordon Rides describing one of his first roller coaster designs on this week’s Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show, “Roller Coaster Criticism & Design”
Everyone loves roller coasters but which are the best, what makes them the best, and where do they come from? Find out on this week’s Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show with guests Jonathan Gordon and Robb Alvey of ThemeParkReview.com.
This week I’m also trying out a new post-interview feature so make sure to listen through the end.
There are two versions of the podcast -
The enhanced version on iTunes - This comes with pictures that pop up at pre-determined times to illustrate what we’re talking about, but it only works on Apple devices and in iTunes itself. The pictures appear where the album art usually would. This is the most enhanced episode of Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show ever so if you’re into pictures of roller coasters you are really in for a treat.
The regular version at JeffRubinJeffRubinShow.com - This is a vanilla MP3 that works on everything from Android to Zune.
