This week on the Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show Mike Drucker stops by to talk about Mass Effect 3 and it’s controversial ending.

Mike is an unbelievably funny stand-up who has written for SNL, The Onion, and co-wrote the new Kid Icarus game. We talk a little about what it was like writing for Nintendo before diving into Mass Effect spoilers.

The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show comes out every Tuesday on iTunesJeffRubinJeffRubinShow.com, and YouTube (also embedded above).

Craig Rowin has a podcast where guests show up, watch any episode of any show of their choosing, then discuss. I selected the series finale of Saved by the Bell.

Though Zach and Slater and especially Screech continued to live in spinoffs (I believe this post-Vegas-wedding New Class cameo is their final canonical appearance as a trio), this is the last episode of the classic Saved by the Bell that for some reason we all liked. If you’re still reading this or clicked on that link, you should listen to Craig and I go on about it for an hour.

New “It’s That Episode” with guest Jeff Rubin

Jeff Rubin (College Humor) stops by to watch “Graduation,” the series finale of “Saved By The Bell.” Craig and Jeff discuss everything SBTB, including how nerds on the show are not human, how Zach had sex with 86 classmates and the Screech porn, which may or may not be called “Saved By The Smell.”

Above is a promo for the final episode of Saved By The Bell.

I know I said I wouldn’t reblog Catantrum often but this one’s a must read.

catantrum:

All three players were tied with 7, then 8, then Justin (red) and Jeff (blue) got to 9 before Scott (orange) won with the largest army. Those who have sat across the ‘tan board from Scott know how rare it is for him to win without the longest road (not that he didn’t try, note the four “spite” roads circling the 4-hill). When asked for comment, Scott said, “They are spite roads, that’s exactly what they are.”

Justin played a chivalrous game, at one point even pointing out a simple error by Jeff and allowing him to correct it. There was what Scott referred to as a “major grain drain” but, all in all, this was an incredible game of Catan.

Pretty solid in-car cover of Hall & Oates’ I Can’t Go For That that really strips the song to it’s bare essentials. Wasn’t sure it was worth blogging, but then I got to the kazoo solo.

Pretty excited to present Nerd Alert: Burlesque.

Not only did we visit a nerd-themed burlesque show, we visited three.

One of the laws of having a podcast is every now and then you have to beg people to leave you a review on iTunes. Nobody knows why, that’s just the way it is. If you’ve ever enjoyed The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show or just feel like doing me a solid, I would love it if you left me a review on iTunes. I really do appreciate it.

(ps tomorrow’s episode features Pat, Gabrus, Scott, and Owen and we talk about pizza, Angry Birds Space, Hunger Games, and Ninja Turtles. Please use the next 24 hours to speculate on who discusses what)

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - Limehouse, one of this season’s villains on Justified, is the same actor who played Bubba in Forrest Gump.

Also of note, Justified has been terrific this season. Easily the best show on TV for the past few months, though it’s reign will likely come to an end tonight when Mad Men returns.
