This week’s Bleep Bloop finds myself, Pat, Dan, and Gabrus playing around with avatars. Though Xbox 360, Wii, and Playstation 3 all have built-in systems to let you design your own characters, they are all very different and each perfectly reflects the philosophy of the company that designed it.
BLEHIND THE BLEEP BLOOP: This episode was originally going to be an expedition into Playstation...
This week on the Bloop I’m joined by Pat, Amir, and Pete Holmes for a journey through the spotty history of Back to the Future games. I was familiar with the NES Back to the Futures (the combined 2/3 game didn’t make this episode because we had used it before) but the others were new to me. There’s also some Bleep Bloop Blonus footage about Universal Studios Theme Park Adventures...
There have been more than a few articles questioning the viability of The Daily Show in a post-Bush world. It’s been a long time since I watched The Daily Show daily, but I’m confident it’s going to be fine. USA Today (usually a bastion of quality reporting) is flat out wrong when they say The Daily Show was “gentle” with the new guy on innauguration night. Watch this...
I wrote this Star Wars cartoon with some help from the CollegeHumor cool kids squad of Pat, Dan,and Dave (who also voices Ackbar). I had never written a cartoon before, so to have something animated by the always amazing Mike Parker is very exciting.
For this week’s Bleep Bloop Pat and I were in New York, Human Giant’s Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer were in LA, but we were brought together by the magic of Xbox Live and Left 4 Dead. Some notes about this one:
- I had assumed that if we had four headsets, four people could talk. What I failed to anticipate was, for some reason, Microsoft limits you to one working headset per Xbox Live...
Anthony Jeselnik gave one my favorite performances at CH Live yet, and we’ve had a lot of great comedians so that’s really saying something. His Comedy Central special premeires tomorrow night (the 16th) at 10.
New trailer for The CollegeHumor Show on MTV, coming Sunday, February 8th at 9:30.
Sure the critics love The Wrestler and Slumdog Millionaire, but what do the experts think?
“Rourke deserves great credit not only for whipping himself into incredible shape—packing 30 pounds of muscle on for the role—but for doing his wrestling homework. Learning the trade at age 52 could not have been easy, but Rourke’s in-ring work is good enough to pass this wrestler’s sniff...
Bonus: here’s Kenneth’s performance of Top That.
Almost two years ago I made a lip dub for The Verve Pipe’s 90’s hit, The Freshman. This week, EMI Publishing sent a copyright infringement notice and I had to take it down. Just to spite them (because I’m sure they care) I’m reposting it without the music. In order to further stick it to EMI I am going to keep not buying music from the major labels, just like everyone else...
For this week’s Bleep Bloop I sat down with Sarah, Pat, and Michael Ian Black to play nudey arcade games. Though we sampled several games with titles like Ero-Tic-Tac-Toe and Mahjong Erotica Golf, we decided to feature one game that really stood out above the rest.
“My sister got an iPod for Christmas. My dad said he wants an iPod so that he can listen to mp3s while he plays solitaire on the computer.”
