Kevin had the amazing idea to post a Mystery Video on CollegeHumor today. Click it - IF YOU DARE.

I recently wrote about Braid, a new Xbox release that really redefines what a videogame is capable of doing. It’s almost like a Watchmen for videogames in the way it exploits the unique advantages of the medium and intentionally shatters cliches. I would make a dorkier comparison, but I fear it would crash my website. I loved Braid, but sometimes it got a little artsy-fartsy for my tastes....

I saw The Dark Knight for the second time tonight and this time I went for IMAX. The large screen helped me enjoy details I missed the first time around, like Anthony Michael Hall being in the movie.

Our surprise guest at last night’s CollegeHumor Live was Major League Eating all-star Crazy Legs Conti. He tackled Michael Phelps’ breakfast - three fried egg sandwiches, two cups of coffee, a five-egg omlette, a bowl of grits, three pieces of french toast, and three chocolate chip pancakes - in five minutes. I laughed so much I gave myself a headache. We’ll be posting videos...

This week’s Brain Filler is Heavy Metal Superpowers, which would pretty much be a great title for anything. Pat and I really took a backseat on this one and Murphy, whose superpower is apparently an encyclopedic knowledge of 80’s metal videos, did the bulk of the brain filling. Not quite making the cut - the video for Michael Jackson’s Black or White in which Macauly Culkin...

McCain vs. Dungeons & Dragons II
John McCain spokesman Michael Goldfarb seems to have a weird problem with Dungeons & Dragons. Regular JeffRubinJeffRubin readers already know that Goldfarb compared the New York Times editors to a blogger, “sitting at home in his mother’s basement and ranting into the ether between games of Dungeons & Dragons.” It was an unusual quote for sure, but if you want to paint bloggers as...

Pete Holmes’ stand-up (which is always amazing) is the first video we’re posting from CollegeHumor Live. Enjoy! Our next show is August 21st, a week from tonight. I’m not sure what word is strong enough to describe how Streeter and I feel about the line-up. Excited? Ecstatic? Gaga? Dan, Sam, and Amir will be spitting a live version of Awkward Rap and we’ll have stand-up...

Pat and I went to a Nintendo press event and made this video. When we go on videogame roadtrips I usually play the dorky straight man who asks proper questions, so this was a fun change of pace for me. While we there, Nintendo staged a murder mystery to promote a DS game called MillionHeir. It was so off-topic and difficult to explain that we couldn’t really fit it into the main piece, but...

Crazy Sprinkler Lady is my favorite Internet video in a long time. There’s no one solid LOL moment, but it’s the kind of funny where I’ll chuckle every time I think of it for the rest of the day. The credits are just the icing on the cake.

McCain Loses the Dork Vote
“The presumptive Republican nominee has embarked on a bare-knuckled barrage of negative advertising aimed at belittling Mr. Obama,” the [New York Times] wrote. The response from the McCain campaign was equally cutting. “If the shareholders of The New York Times ever wonder why the paper’s ad revenue is plummeting and its share price tanking, they need look no further...
